Everty EV Charging Mobile App

The Everty EV charging app. Designed to enhance the EV charging experience.

The redesign of the Everty EV charging app was driven by extensive UX research, focused on understanding the needs and preferences of EV drivers. Through user interviews, I gathered valuable insights into the challenges EV driver's were experiencing when it came to charging their vehicles. I gained firsthand knowledge of the pain points and motivations of EV drivers to identify key areas for improvement of the original Everty app's design.

In addition to user interviews, research was conducted to understand the competitive landscape and gather insights from the field. This included a competitor analysis, where I examined existing EV charging apps and their features. By studying their strengths and weaknesses, I identified opportunities to differentiate Everty and provide a unique value proposition.

To gain a deeper understanding of the EV driving experience, I conducted field research by visiting various charging stations and interacting with EV drivers. This hands-on approach allowed me to observe the challenges they faced in real-world scenarios and identify pain points that could be addressed through the app's design.

By combining the findings from user interviews, competitor analysis, and field research, the Everty app was designed to meet the specific demands of EV drivers. The UX research played a pivotal role in shaping the app's intuitive interface, ultimately enhancing the overall EV driving experience.

Using the insights gained from research, I created low-fidelity wireframes that served as a blueprint for the interface, allowing me to refine the navigation and content hierarchy. I then developed an interactive prototype to simulate user interactions and test the app's usability.

In the visual design phase, I incorporated brand elements such as the Everty colour palette, typography, and iconography to establish a cohesive and visually appealing interface. A high-fidelity mockup was then created to reflect the desired look and feel.

Throughout the process, I actively seeked feedback from stakeholders and users. This iterative feedback helped validate my design choices and identify areas for improvement. Usability testing was then conducted to observe user behavior and then make refinements to enhance the design.
